I remeber this one time I issued a citation for a curfew violation. I took the kid home to his parents. They were furious. They didn't understand why I was giving their 17 year old son a ticket for being out, past midnight without supervision.

some way, some how, these parents have got to be held accountable.

Thank you for doing your job in regards to picking up kids for curfew.

In response to parents being held accountable, which parents are you referring to? The parent's of those injured, the parent's of the kid hosting the party, the parent's of those that witnessed what happened and aren't talking or the parent's of the gang members? I agree that all should be held accountable and if you have any suggestions as to how to make that happen please let your boss know. As for my nephew who is no longer here to speak for himself, I as his guardian was in Iraq and my wife dropped him off at a party where a parent was present.
