My deepest condolences go out to Officer Desha’s family and the LAPD for their loss.

This was a sad day for the N.H. Division. Prayers for Officer Desha and her family, and all those who mourn the loss of this fine officer.

Godspeed Officer Desha. My thoughts and prayers are with Officer Desha's family and friends during this tough time, especially with Laura. Hang in there Laura, we're all hear for you.

Our prayers go out to Desha and all of her family and friends, This was a tragic loss for many people. We would also like to offer prayers for another victim Mike Hammersley, he worked as a Delivery Driver for the General Services Mailroom. He had served LAPD for many years and always had a smile. Many of you would know him if you saw him. He has been to every LAPD location at one time or another. Godspeed to Desha and Mike

My condolences to Officer Desha and her family but this officer's funeral caused traffic chaos in downtown Los Angeles at the height of rush hour. The LAPD traffic restrictions were wholly inappropriate. By making such a big fuss for just one person it showed disrespect to the others whose lives were lost in the train crash. For heaven's sake, she didn't even die in the line of duty. I'm sure the families of other victims of the train crash would have also liked to have had their loved ones honored in this way but unfortunatelty they weren't police officers and did not have the priviledge of closing down downtown LA. LAPD's duty is to serve and protect the public not unnecessarily inconvenience the public.
