Zine has no class. He could have waited 1 day. o one buys me lunch when I work OT. This such a disgrace and I wonder how many of those luches where really eaten or just tossed in back of the car?
The city offical who approved this should be fired.

It actually does make sense for them to ask family to foot the bill for holding a $1.4 MILLION dollar event.

To do it on the day of the service, though is poor taste.

The police force is doing the public a service. In other cultures, money will be given as a form of appreciating the service or instead of money, food, drinks and anything basic and essential will be given freely. This is also to create goodwill between the public and the police.

What an embarrassment. The Mayor need to get a new advisor. All the other countries are celebrating his life. This is an Icon. The Mayor did not ask the Laker fans to donate. All they do is dribble a ball. This Icon died. This city made a lot of money from the airfares of the out of town guest, the hotels, the restaurants and the parking for the memorial was very high. I'm ashame to say I'm from Los Angeles. The world love Michael Jackson, Mayor, you miss another opportunity to show us what you claim to be made of .

I think this should have been brought up way before the funeral was accepted. It is not their job to provide a security force for a celebrity, it is to service the community. If the convention center wanted to hold this then they should front the bill. This bill should not rest in the city's hands causing more people to lose work for a funeral!
