I am a supporter of Chief Beck, but I must say, succumbing to political posturing about another state's (AZ) law by going to Washington DC to complain to the Attorney General is plain stupid. Chief Beck, I am sure you and the other chiefs who accompanied you to Washington could have spent the money it took to travel there in a more productive way. How about dealing with the shrinking budget of the Department and the layoffs and furloughs of civilian employees, and the closing of Property Rooms at various stations?

I would like to see Chief Beck not become a political pawn of the failed and corrupt leaders of this city who boycott other states because they don't like their laws. Yes, I mean the mayor and the city council. I hope it's not wishfull thinking.
