Los Angeles: Three people are in custody for the brutal attack of a 23-year-old, four-month-pregnant woman early Saturday morning.
On June 16, 2012, at 12:40 a.m., a young woman was inside her apartment in the 8600 block of DeSoto Avenue when two men and a woman entered her home and attacked her, using physical force and unspecified weapons in an apparent attempt to kill her.
Detective’s learned that one of the suspects may have been in a relationship with the victim, and that the incident was probably a case of domestic violence as opposed to a random act. The pregnant victim is listed in stable condition and is recovering from her injuries. It appears the baby didn’t suffer any serious injuries during the assault.
The suspects are as follows:
26-year-old Brian Corder of San Pedro (possibly a former U.S. Marine)
21-year-old Stephon Crutchfield of Pasadena
19-year-old Fredericka Carmouche of Sherman Oaks
All three suspects have been booked for attempted murder and conspiracy and are each being held on $1 million bail.
