Of course this settlement was foreseeable! It appears that the officers made an error in judgment utilizing deadly force; however, this would have never happened if Mr. Beaird had not acted in a reckless manner. This man completely disregarded the safety, not only of himself , but most importantly, the safety of the officers and citizens. This man put himself in a terrible position and it cost him. Whatever happened to the victims he collided with? Hopefully, they get a piece of that pie that Mr. Beaird's family was awarded! R.I.P. Mr Beaird, I do not believe that this should have ended in the loss of your life, but it did. And I'm sure based on your actions, you could have cared less if the loss of life was at someone else's expense. Its a tragic incident, but Mr Beaird you were a criminal! My comments, Although blunt and candid as they me be, in no way are made to disrespect or offend the loss of any life. Unfortunately, poor judgement and criminal behavior ended in tragedy for everyone involved.
