Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department Northeast Homicide Detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that may lead to the arrest of the suspect responsible for the killing of 19-year-old Christopher Hernandez, a resident of Los Angeles.
On June 5, 2014, around 10:58 A.M., Northeast Division officers responded to a 9-1-1 call of a shooting in the 4300 block of West Sunset Boulevard. When the officers arrived they found the victim lying on the sidewalk, suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds.
Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries.
Witnesses told investigators that they saw a black, late model 4 door car approach Hernandez as he walked on Sunset Boulevard. The suspect, described as a male Hispanic in his 20s, fired multiple shots, striking Hernandez numerous times. The vehicle fled east on Sunset Boulevard towards Fountain Avenue.
