Los Angeles: Friday, July 15, 2011 – After completing a challenging and rigorous 920 hours of training over a grueling 24 weeks, Class 1-11 had their graduation ceremony this morning at the Los Angeles Police Academy. Chief Charlie Beck, joined by representatives from the Mayor’s Office of the City of Los Angeles and LAPD Board of Commissioners, welcomed to the LAPD family the 43 new police officers.
Chief Beck tells the new officers they represent the law, constitution, and the Los Angeles Police Department, and as Chief he demands they morally and legally do the right thing. For the full address, please lick on the link below.
