Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department Robbery-Homicide Division (RHD) detectives have arrested an individual in connection with a four year series of violent crimes, including murder and robbery.

Patrick Watkins began the crime spree in November of 2011 with the last known incident occurring in December of 2014. During the series Watkins was responsible for 23 separate incidents including the November 17, 2011 murder of Nathan "Cassidy" Vickers and the December 8, 2014 murder of Larise Smith.

Detectives scoured thousands of clues and were able to link Watkins to the crimes through forensic evidence recovered at the crime scenes and witnesses' accounts of the incidents.

On Thursday, October 29, 2015, Los Angeles Police Department SWAT team personnel served a search warrant at Watkins' residence where he was taken into custody without incident on an arrest warrant for the murder of Nathan "Cassidy" Vickers.

On November 2, 2015 the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, Major Crimes Division, filed 53 felony counts for Patrick Watkins' acts during this four year crime spree. The counts include two counts of murder and 25 counts of attempt murder.

Patrick Watkins is currently being held on the "No Bail" murder warrant.
