Notes from the October 17, 2017 Weekly Police Commission Meeting

Commissioner President Steve Soboroff opened the meeting and a quorum was established.

All Consent Agenda items were unanimously approved.

Executive Department’s Report, dated October 4, 2017, relative to the Official Police Garage Towing and Storage Rates for 2018, as set forth. [BPC #17-0408] was approved.

Department’s Report, dated October 11, 2017, relative to the Supplemental Police Account Second Quarterly Report (April through June 2017), as set forth. [BPC #17-0407] was approved.

Department’s Report, dated October 11, 2017, relative to the Blake Justice Consent Decree – Fiscal Year 2016-2017 Annual Report, as set forth. [BPC #17-0409] was approved.

Executive Director’s Verbal Report to the status of the development of a policy regarding the release of video in critical incidents. Working with Inspector General’s office reviewing policies from around the country and working with the City Attorney’s Office as to the current state of law on video on how and when it can be released, and expect a draft policy within 30 days.

Department’s Report, dated October 13, 2017, relative to the proposed small Unmanned Aerial System (sUAS) Deployment Guidelines. [BPC #17-0410] was approved.

The Report of the Chief of Police was not presented.
