Burglary Suspects Captured on Video NR19098ll

Los Angeles: Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department's Van Nuys Area are asking for the public's help in providing any information that would lead to the identification and arrest of the suspects responsible for burglarizing a home.

On March 29, 2019, around 8:35 p.m., a residential burglary occurred in the 6000 block of Varna Avenue in the City of Los Angeles. The suspects entered the residence by smashing a rear window. Once inside, they removed property then fled in a newer model black Chevy Malibu. The same suspects returned to the residence, a short time later, with additional suspects in a newer model black Ford Explorer and a white Chevy Van. They removed additional property, including a large safe that was loaded into the van, then fled.

The suspects are described as 5-8 males, wearing dark hooded sweat shirts, masks and gloves. One of the suspects is described as a male Black, 25-30 years old, with a beard and wearing glasses. He stands approximately 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet tall and weighs 200-225 pounds.
He was wearing a dark hooded sweat shirt, blue and gray pants, dark shoes and gloves.

The suspect vehicles are described as a newer black Chevrolet Malibu with tinted windows and paper plates, a black newer model Ford Explorer with no plates, and a newer white Chevrolet van with unknown plates.

These suspects committed a residential burglary in the 13800 block of Bessemer Street earlier in the day. A safe containing jewelry and currency was taken.
