Erik Diaz has been located and reunited with his family members.

Los Angeles:
The family of Erik Diaz and the Los Angeles Police Department's Missing Persons Unit are asking for the public's help in locating Mr. Diaz.

On July 28, 2019, around 3p.m., Mr. Diaz was last seen at a local fast food restaurant in the 2700 block of South Vermont Avenue in the City of Los Angeles. He has not been seen since and his family is concerned.

Mr. Diaz and is described as a 28-year-old male Hispanic with black hair and brown eyes. He stands 5 foot 6 inches tall and weighs around 178 pounds. He was wearing a light blue shirt, black shorts, and red & black Vans shoes.

Fatal Traffic Collision NR19212jc

Fairfax: On Thursday, August 1, 2019, around 10:30 p.m., a fatal traffic collision occurred involving two vehicles and pedestrian. The name of the pedestrian is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin. The collision occurred when a 2018 Infinity Q60S that was traveling eastbound on Melrose Avenue and collided with a 2017 Acura MDX that was negotiating a left turn to Martel Avenue from westbound Melrose Avenue. As a result of the collision, the Acura continued in a southeast direction, ran off the road, and collided with a pedestrian that was standing on the sidewalk at the southeast corner of the intersection. The driver of the Infinity and Acura both remained at scene and provided statements to the police.

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene and transported the pedestrian to Cedars-Sinai Hospital. The pedestrian sustained major blunt force trauma to his head. The pedestrian succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at Cedars-Sinai Hospital.

The driver of the Infinity was identified as Jacob Gralitzer. He was arrested and booked for Gross Vehicular Manslaughter while DUI.

40-Year-Old Critical Missing Man NR19210rc

North Hollywood: The family of Kent Connell and the Los Angeles Police Department's Missing Persons Unit are asking for the public's help in locating Mr. Connell.

On July 28, 2019, around 5 p.m., Mr. Connell was last heard from when he texted his brother, who was on his way back from a family reunion. Connell suffers from depression. His family is concerned that he has not been found.

Mr. Connell is described as a 40-year-old male white with black hair, brown eyes. He stands 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs around 155 pounds. Connell was last seen wearing a white shirt and green cargo pants. Connell frequents hiking trails in the area.

Off-Duty Los Angeles Police Officer Murdered in Lincoln Heights Identified

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we inform you of the death of Police Officer II Juan José Diaz, who was senselessly killed while off-duty in Hollenbeck Area. Officer Diaz was last assigned to Professional Standards Bureau. We have garnered the talents of our dedicated men and women to the investigation and pursuit of justice.
