Felony Hit and Run Leaves One Severely Injured NR20304jl

Los Angeles: On Thursday November 19, 2020, around 6:10 p.m., a 21-year-old male pedestrian was riding a scooter northbound on Bixel Street just north of Wilshire Boulevard when he was struck by a vehicle.  The driver fled the scene without stopping, rendering aid or identifying himself or herself. There is no description of the driver and/or vehicle.

Paramedics from the Los Angeles City Fire Department responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital. The victim was admitted into the Intensive Care Unit with severe injuries.

A witness recorded a video of a white Toyota Tacoma chasing after the hit and run vehicle. The vehicle pictured below belongs to the witness of the collision. The public’s assistance is needed in locating this witness who might have vital information on the hit and run vehicle and/or driver.

Drivers are reminded to drive at a safe speed and if you become involved in a collision, you should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify yourself.
